Although my days are often similar, overall each year is very different from the next. I am in my studio most days designing and making jewelry or occasionally working on a commissioned knit piece. I am on the board of Art Jewelry Forum.
Some weeks I am on the road for an exhibition, teaching a jewelry or Reset workshop. Reset is a company I founded this year. Its mission is to educate individuals and groups to be attentive to their bodies’ signals and to provide them with practical Self-Tuning techniques (ie: simple stretches.)
To get centered and relax I practice yoga, take a walk on the beach with my boyfriend and dog, or cook a delicious meal. On good days all of that happens and the Beauty is palpable!
Studio Ethics & Mindfulness
In my studio I try to keep the materials, chemicals and practices employed as low-impact and environmentally conscious as possible. I buy my metal from Hoover & Strong's Harmony Line, which is 100% recycled. I use Citrus Pickle and biodegradable soaps. I reuse packaging materials and source materials that had a previous life instead of buying new. I also enjoy supporting local or US companies.
